Background
On Nov. 7, 2015, under the witness of President Xi Jinping and Prime minister Lee Hsien Loong , China and Singapore signed the Collaborative Agreement on Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project in China-Singapore (Chongqing) and the Supplementary Agreement in Singapore. The Chongqing Municipal Government and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Singapore signed the Implementation Agreement on the Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project in China-Singapore ,New Chongqing, declaring the Third China-Singapore Intergovernmental Cooperation Project After the Suzhou Industrial Park and Tianjin Eco-city, the Third China-Singapore Intergovernmental Cooperation Project was officially finalized and launched.
On April 16, 2016, China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project has identified the following industries , namely, financial services, the aviation industry, transport logistics and information and communications technology as key areas of cooperation. Amongst these industries, the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project have placed focus on the of logistics sector , especially intermodal transport, such as Air- Rail and Rail- Sea Models, to establish connectivity through Rail- Air model with major cities throughout Europe and Asia.
On February 26, 2017, the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project Cooperation Project Centralized Signing Ceremony was held in Beijing, and that was when YPL was born as an important representative in the logistics field of China-Singapore new projects.
On 7 June 2017, YPL obtained their Business licence , and have been formally established and operating independently since then.
